I have just ran across a decent looking trailer and it was manufactured by Easly- it's a 1996 model.
I have never heard of Easly and was wondering if anyone else had.
and if there are any pro's and con's to this manufacturer's trailers?
Are they still in business?
Looking at the pictures of this trailer - I don't like how low their rear doors sit, looks to be mid-butt or below on a horse. The doors are literally half the height of the trailer. And the other half is the upper curtain doors...I prefer higher bottom doors and smaller upper curtain doors myself.
They claim the trailer is 7' tall, so that would make the back bottom doors only 3.5' tall and they look it.

They are popular around here with farmers. Very well built, most I have seen have been half top trailers. I have a friend that has a 1998 model 20' half top with 2 7-k axles that I use a couple of times a years to move cows with. It has butterfly rear doors that are 3/4 of the actual height of the trailer. My opinion they are about the same line as the Gooseneck brand trailers. Most are stock trailers.

The one I have looked at is a gooseneck and fully enclosed with small weekender package. It is straight load also.
The hinges on all the doors to this trailer are unlike any other I have seen. They remind me of the old huge gothic type doors with really big hinges on them. When the doors are open it looks to have about a 2"-3" gap between the door and the body.
But the rear doors (butterfly) are really short. Haven't seen any this short (excluding the old model trailers). I wonder why they make them so short. It is literally half the height of the trailer (but it does have upper rear curtain doors).

WOW I did not know they made full horse trailers, I thought they was mainly stock type trailers. That trailer does not look that bad. Actually the doors a more than half way. (load a horse and you will see) I think what makes the door look off it the fact that it maybe a 7'6" tall trailer instead of 7' tall. If that is the case the doors will look funny because they make all of the bottom parts the same for the 7' trailer as the 7'6" trailer to cut down on cost.
Just the same as my older CM 2 horse bumper pull that is 7'6" tall, it has the same bottom door as the 7' trailers.

That's a new one on me. I have never seen an Easley that was a horse trailer. Far as I knew, they only built stock trailers, and flat beds. Can't help you out any more than that.

Their website has it listed as a 1996 Easly and 7 foot tall, 7 foot wide and 16 foot long and I have found them wrong on a few listed things...it says for 'Mangers' that it doesn't have them. Also emailed them before getting the link to the video and asked it it had mangers and they said "no, that it was open space but we can install feed bags for you", asked if it had drop down windows at horses head and they said "no, they are slider's", asked if it had 1 or 2 roof vents in the stalls and they said "that it only had 1 but they could install another"
But you can clearly see in the video that it does have drop down windows at the horses head, 2 roof vents and mangers. I emailed them and asked if it was open floor space where mangers would be and it is obvious that there are tack compartments there as well then wouldn't that make that area mangers.
So it is possible that they could be wrong on the height as well.
I agree, it's not a bad looking trailer. But it scares me that they don't know what it has when I ask and even have things in the listing wrong. I wonder now if they have the year and manufacturer right. And if the price is right.

Easly makes a good trailer. Not fancy, but they take a lot of abuse. I have an Easly stock trailer that is about 30 years old and is still very serviceable.

I looked up both of the websites you listed and both of them are the same trailer and they both show to be a Shadow brand, not an Easly! Actually some folks cal the saddle storage under the heads mangers.
