How is the easiest way to mark paneling to cut the window hole (gooseneck side windows)? Also, are there any tips to cut the ceiling panels to allow for the rear slantwall? At $25/sheet for paneling, I really would like to find the easiest way to do this, and not make a mistake! :-)

You can make cardboard templates to mark your paneling. It takes some time, using tape to correct the mistakes, and may not be perfect. With our weekender I finished it off with 1X4 trim. It was easier to perfect the trim than try to get a perfect cut in the paneling. I also used 1X4 trim along the ceiling and wall intersection as the ceiling was not flat and getting a precise cut was very difficult.

Find an appliance store that has a compactor for its cardboard shipping containers. Ask the owner to save you some large pieces for templates. Cutting the card board with aviation or tin snips is faster, easier and more accurate than using an utility knife.

I used a cardboard template that just fit over the window, and taped it on one side. I folded the other half over and reached behind it and trace the outline. Then I taped the other side and folded over the first side and repeated. My template was very good and accurate.
