Location: Florida | I am looking at the WW Marquis Mirage 3H slant load. It is a 6' Wide, 6'6" Tall, 16' stock combo trailer. At a casual stance, my largest horse is 96" from nose to tail and about 72" from ground to tip of ears. Lengthwise, I think he would be okay but I am concerned about the height. What do you think? Thanks!! |

Location: PA | I don't like slants that are less than 7'6"W and 7'6"T. I feel they can be too narrow and low, especially limiting the resale. |

Thanks!! how far? how often? the horse will fit but will they be comfortable? being cramped for an hour is different than being cramped for 8 hours. 6 wide is not very wide for a slant. alot depends on the shape of the horse. my trailer is 6'8" wide and 7'4" tall. i have smaller horses(15.2 1200# and 14.2h 950#), they fit well. on a side note, 15.2 is the biggest ive had.....smaller horses usually eat less and the ground is closer if/when you fall.

Location: Washington State | I personally would get something bigger. I am having problems with my horse riding comfortably in a too small trailer. Now, if you have small horses, it would be different. |

Location: Kansas City | The how far - how often is a good question. I am pulling 3 1100+ lb. qtr horses in a CM that is 6'6" tall and 6' wide. Horses are tight on the side to side between the dividers which is a function of trailer length which was not discussed. I think they have plenty of room nose to tail.
Horses always load right in. In my opinion if you are not pulling over-the-road for hours at a time and just pulling locally you should be fine.
