Location: western PA | In addition to the Rancho shocks, Monroe and Bilstein are also good choices. You do not need the heavy duty off road upgrades, that adversely affect empty ride qualities. If your trailer's pin weight results in a rear squatting of your truck, air shocks can also be added. They can be simple systems that are aired only when needed, to more elaborate upgrades with compressors and automatic operations. Most shocks need replacement at ~ 50K miles, especially the rears if you do a lot of hauling. Most new replacement shocks have a lifetime warranty, that eventually will still need to be replaced if you keep the truck for several years. |
