Location: Louisiana | Need to replace the Uniroyal Laredo LT 235/85R16 10 Ply tires on 4 Star 3 horse LQ trailer - considering the Michelin LTX M/S 2 tires - has anyone used these and if so how do they hold up as a trailer tire? Also, any suggestions on other brands would be appreciated. Thanks |

Location: Rocky Mount N.C. | Michelin XPS Rib would be a better choice. All steelcasing, long wear, hi-way tread runs cooler, etc... http://www.michelinrvtires.com/michelinrv/tires-retreads/tireInfo.do?tread=XPS%20RIB |

Location: Louisiana | Thanks for the info Retento - I had looked at them also, but I see they are speed rated for 75 mph, not that I pull my trailer that fast, but I usually do pull in the 65 to 70 mph range on Interstates, so that speed rating had me concerned. Those seem to be the closest to the Goodyear G614 tires, but my rims are not rated for 110 psi. |

Location: Northern Utah | I've got some on my trailer. Put them on last November. Dealer had a set that a customer used for 3-4 days and returned. so he made me a killer deal since they were not new. They seem to working just fine on my trailer. But only have 3000-4000 miles since I installed them. |

Location: Louisiana | Ordered 4 Michelin XPS Rib tires today - should have them by Thursday - searched an RV website forum and it seems a lot of RV'ers use this tire and are very satisfied with them - Michelin sure is proud of them!!! Hope they last longer than the Uniroyal Laredo's that came with the trailer. |

| Just a quick question, should the tires on trailers be balanced like they do for truck/cars?? Thanks |

Location: Louisiana | I personally like to balance all tires for vehicles and trailers alike - I figure it's one less item to cause vibrations and fatigue on trailer components - seems like I read where it may also help reduce heat buildup. Don't know if that's true or not. |
