Hi All,I was recently talking with a friend about sanitizing the water system after the winter months and in the conversation my friend said he plans to leave his water in the tank for the summer. How long do you keep water in the tank and do you treat it. I fill mine with rural water and don't treat it but I drain out the water when not camping. Thanks!

I put a little bleach in mine when I fill the tank. I don't leave it in there over a couple of weeks when it's really hot out....can get kind of skunky.

If we are using well water I only leave it as long as we are using it and drain the tanks when we leave. I if use city water I might leave it a day or so longer but with the heat we get around here I will not let it sit more than a couple of days tops!

I tend to leave my water in the tank but I use a filter and drinking water hose when filling it, and also the water treatment stuff. It's amazing how well that treatment works. I like to drain it for the hot summer months when we're not using it. That is when I remember to do it! LOL As a matter of fact, I just remembered today but I don't think there was much left in it.
