Location: central sierra nevada foothills | I bought one years ago on Ebay, what a big piece of horse do-do!!!!! It's very touchy and not really accurate. If it's not set just so to work, it won't work, and then that's hard to do. Just as one poster stated, just buy a GPS, it just won't do what the horse o meter does, but much more and you can make your maps, keep your tracks, set up way points, etc. |

Location: northeast Texas | HAHA you know what a pedometer is ? I think thats right. The things that measure the distance you walk. Well a Horse O Meter is based on measuring distance by the stride of the horse. I had 2 of them. Got the first one a tad wet. They dont do water well. At $50 a pop when the second one bit the dust I bought a Garmin Foretrex and never looked back. Horse O Meters are a HUGE waste of money. THey are NOT accurate. Buy a GPS. Its does alot more anyhow. The new ones are very accurate. |
